For those of you going to be anywhere close to North Michigan Avenue (at Chicago Avenue) between 5:30pm and 6:00pm on 11.11.11, stop by to observe or participate in Chicago’s Meditation Flash Mob event. If you were not planning on being in the area, the Meditation Flash Mob might be a good reason to make the trip. This event is in conjunction with a global organization called MedMob whose “mission is to create an environment for people from all religions, all world views, and all experience levels to join together in meditation. MedMob’s vision is to continue inspiring world-wide meditations until the entire world is invited to join.”

Meditation Flash Mob Chicago is joining the rest of the world in meditation:

Friday, November 11, 2011 (11.11.11)
5:30pm – 6:00pm
Water Tower Park
Northwest Corner of Michigan Ave and Chicago Ave
(Water Tower Park in front of the historical Chicago Water Tower)

All you need to bring is a towel, blanket, or cushion for the meditation and clothing to keep you warm (it will be outdoors). Water Tower Park has several benches, so if you would like to have a seat, try to get there early to grab one. Looking forward to seeing you out there. This is going to bring great awareness to meditation. This high traffic area is the perfect spot for Chicago. Kudos to the organizers, we support you.

Great turn out. Amazing experience. We observed the faces of the walker-bys and reactions were positive. A couple of people grabbed a seat and joined in on the movement.
